Row 1 - The year of each total solar eclipse (TSE).
Row 2 -The absolute maximum duration of each eclipse in seconds.
COLUMNS
Name: Name of eclipse chaser.
S: Number of TSEs seen (as opposed to visited) by that person.
V: Number of TSEs visited
Dur: Total duration (in minutes)of all the TSEs seen by that person.
Score: "Duration seen"/"duration visited" as a percentage of TSEs actually seen. 0 in the following columns means they visited the eclipse but were clouded out.
2003, 2002, 2001, 1999 1998 1997 etc: Length of totality (in seconds) actually seen by that person. 0 means they visited the eclipse but were clouded out.

Fascinating facts by people still alive:

Earliest eclipse was August 1932 by Gerard Foley who was born in 1917.
Most amount of total eclipses travelled to is 24 by Glenn Schneider (it is believed that other people have travelled to more, but they have not asked for their details to be included here)
Longest period of totality was 423 seconds (7m 3s) by Bill Kramer in 1973, second place is held by Barrie Jones with 420 seconds.
Shortest period of totality of less than 5 seconds was seen by Glenn Schneider (and 8 others) flying in a Cessna Citation II 44,000 feet between Iceland and Greenland
Highest percentage of successful eclipses is held by Bernie Verreau who has seen 14 out of 14
1992 eclipse - those who observed 375 seconds of totality saw the event from a plane following the eclipse
Shortest duration of maximum phase as seen on centre line of a central eclipse: 1 second, Bob Morris, 20 May, 1966. Athens-Sounion Road.
