Our normal visit is divided into 3 x 25 minute sessions:
Session 1
In the observatory dome looking at the sky if it’s clear. If it’s cloudy we will
demonstrate the telescope searching for stars and discuss the technical
capabilities of it.
Session 2
In the ground floor of the observatory we will look at types of telescope,
eyepieces, cameras etc. and use a computer simulator to see what’s observable in
the sky.
Session 3 in the Robert Hooke building
* See and hold a selection of meteorites and a see a model spacecraft
* A short video of recent space happenings
* Solar system in action simulation
We aim to finish 90 minutes after the start time.
