Lake Ob north (L) 54º 48.67'N   82º 50.85'E      Very long sandy beach with plenty of stopping places near the village of Leninsk (L on map). The beach has occasional piles of  litter, but this doesn’t seriously detract from the location.

09:46:30     10:48:40     10:50:56     11:49:06      29°      262°   2m 16s

51º 51.18'N     86º 08.28'E      Karasuk village site to the east of Gorno Altaysk. Long drive but worth it to give group an idea of how pretty the Altai region can be. As it had rained it was very muddy, but it was quite far from the main road, so headlights shouldn’t be a problem ruining photos during totality.
