Maximum area of the Sun covered at mid annularity is 90.2%, which equates to a magnitude (ratio of diameters) of 0.950.

For Europeans, the next solar eclipse after the 2003 annular, crosses Portugal, Spain, Ibiza, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and ends in the Indian Ocean just south of the Seychelles.
